India suffered its second injury blow to their T20 Squad with L Balaji today getting ruled out with an injury. Karnataka Captain R Vinay Kumar has been named as Balaji’s replacement. This is the second injury in the India T20 Squad after Manoj Tiwary who was ruled out because of a back injury.
L Balaji, who had made a comeback in International Cricket following a successful season for Kolkata Knight Riders got his chance during the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka. Balaji who was retained in the squad for the two T20Is against England has been ruled out of the series because of a stress injury to his right toe.
Balaji’s replacement Vinay Kumar had been part of the Indian team recently having played 8 T20Is. Interestingly Vinay Kumar himself comes back after a hamstring injury which had ruled him out of India’s tour of Sri Lanka in July 2012.
