New Zealand are on their way to a 3-0 cleansweep over Zimbabwe in the National Bank Series after piling up a tall total of 373 for 8 today in the Third and Final ODI.

The Kiwis winning the toss and batting first at the McLean Park in Napier got off to a marvelous start of 153 for 1 in 22 overs with both the openers - Rob Nicol (61 from 63 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes) and Martin Guptill (85 from 69 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes) hitting half centuries.

Skipper Brendon MccCullum consolidated the good start by smashing 119 from 88 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. It was only a 4th ODI Century for the 30-year-old McCullum. For the Zimbabweans, left arm pacer Brian Vitori was humiliated by the Kiwi batsmen who took him for as many as 105 runs in 9 overs!

Brendon McCullum scored 119Vitori equaled the record of Martin Snedden (NZ) and Tim Southee (NZ) for giving away 105 runs, the second most runs conceded in an ODI innings. The Zimbabwean left-armer bowled only 9 overs while Snedden bowled 12 overs and Southee bowled his full quota of 10 overs. The most runs conceded in an ODI is still being held Michael Lewis of Australia in the mind-boggling match against South Africa at Johannesburg in 2006.
